Community Trade Union gives £60,000 to British Steel Archive Project

On 1st May 2008, Community presented a cheque for £20,000 to Dr Joan Heggie, Project Manager of the British Steel Archive Project. This cheque represents the first of three annual payments to support the project and will contribute to the salary of an Access & Education Officer who will work with current and former iron and steel workers on different projects across the four boroughs of Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool and Redcar & Cleveland.
